Easy DIY Lip Scrub

August 11, 2015

Hey guys!

I hope you’ve had a good start to the week!In this post, I thought I’d share an easy DIY lip scrub, I’am sure you have all the ingredients lying around in the kitchen.

I have dry chapped lips, and I don’t even care to apply a lip balm most of the time. It’s important to exfoliate our lips, just like our face.So why not make your own lip scrub, I personally prefer making rather than buying it. So lets make it! Your lips will thank you!:)

Things you need-

Granulated Sugar

Coconut oil/Olive oil

Food color

Vanilla essence

A box to store

The process is very simple, you can eye ball the amount of each ingredient according to your preference, it’s easy that way.Take the amount of sugar you need (1-2 table spoons) add coconut oil or olive oil the choice is yours. Now mix them well, make sure to add little oil at a time, here I have only added 2-3 drops as I don’t want my scrub to be runny but dry. After you mix it well, add the food color of your choice, go easy on the color as it may leave a stain on your lips (choose a color like pink or red). Mix the color well and add vanilla essence to this just to give it an edible flavor. I skipped that step because I didn’t have vanilla essence at home, its not a compulsion you can skip it too.

After all the ingredients are mixed well, transfer it to a box and store it in your bathroom. U can choose to use it daily by applying it all over your lips and scrubbing it in circular motions. The sugar will gently exfoliate your lips and the oil will moisturize them well. Wash off and follow up with your favorite lip balm. Simple and quick! Do try it and let me know if you liked it 🙂
