It’s crazy to even think that Christmas is only 3 days away and by next week we’ll be raising a toast to welcome another new year! Make the last few days of this year count, so that you walk into the new year with a smile on your face. Do what makes you happy, give yourself a cookie treat, spend time with your loved ones, do fun things together, go shopping, bake something at home, take a trip, watch reruns of your favorite shows/movies and above all; don’t forget to express your love for them. With all the news that’s been making the headlines, my heart breaks to even imagine what one feels being in that place. My main takeaway from these incidents is that; life is unpredictable and your relationships are the most important thing is this world. So cherish your loved ones because its them who make your life a lot better and there’s nothing like having a strong line of family/friends who stand with you in every step. I hope you all have a joyous holiday week, sending all the positive and happy vibes your way!

For me, this time of the year automatically translates into a glitter party! Be it decorating your home or your own self, I feel sequins and sparkly items make their way up on my list. It’s the best time of the year to sport your most sparkly outfit and no-one will bat an eye, even if you look as shiny as the disco ball! So obviously I had to include a sequin piece in one of my holiday looks and this was even more special because I got it a 70% off the retail price; enter ThredUP! If you don’t know ThredUP then I have one word for it- Amazing! A great way to shop without splurging is by shopping consignment. I have recently begun thrift shopping which led me to understand the dynamics of the business and a gently used item that holds value in terms of design, the work or the designer/brand name. If you’re overwhelmed by in-store shopping of pre owned items then ThredUP is the right place for you that carries high quality women’s and kid’s pre-owned fashion.

What I love about ThredUP – they’re honest about the products they have onboard and very descriptive too. So you can read & sort your items not only based on designer, size, color, type etc but also on the usage of an item. They carry unused items that are brand new with tags at half price and gently used ones at even higher discount. ThredUP offers a range of brands from designer to Forever 21 and up to 90% off the original retail price. So I insist you check ThredUP out, it’s an amazing online shop to restock your wardrobe with designer pieces at amazing discounts and if you’re lucky, even find a brand new item at half off!

I was lucky to find this particular sequin skirt from Express that was brand new/unused with a tag at an amazing discount! For my second holiday look I went all out and picked a short grey sequin skirt to add to my collection. Even though I really wanted to look like December, I had to feature my laid back style by pairing it with a loose grey t-shirt and a casual blazer. Now because the ensemble lacked color, I wore a swipe of my favorite bright violet lipstick and lined my eyes with a royal blue liner. For accessories I kept it simple, by popping in a pair of dangling earrings and a gold clutch.
