Hello, Hello people! How was your weekend? Hope you’ve had a great start to the week! Can you believe we’re almost halfway through September?! Like what? The transitioning really hit me last evening, when I stepped out to run some errands and the chilly wind blew right at me, giving me a mini heart attack. I ran back quickly to grab my jacket! Noo, I was dreading this, it’s not the end of summer already! Please, please don’t leave! Ok, now’s the time I need to stop whining, anyhoo, Atlanta has these mid summer-almost winter moments at this time of the year. I’am sure the temperature’s won’t drop until mid October (hopefully).
Now that I’am done being your weather lady, lets look at what I have for you guys in this post.A little white dress, yes, yes, I know, we are past labor day and all that, but is it going to stop me from wearing white? I don’t think so!Especially after I saw one of my favorite fashion bloggers,Sazan Barzani at the NYFW, looking gorgeous in a white dress, I was like ‘aah, what the hell let me just go for it!’
So if you know me you will know, I’am all about budget shopping! As much as I love clothes, I love discounts more! So, last week I was browsing through the H&M store, when I saw this dress at the sale aisle and it was the last piece. Even though it was SLI-ghtly loose for me, the $7 tag made me instantly grab it! This white lace shift dress is obviously so perfect for spring-summers as a casual throw on dress. Wearing this white dress on a scenic beach, with the blue ocean in the background would be the most ideal way. But the crochet/lace detailing, makes it a great formal wear and also for an occasion where you want to look more feminine and lady like. This can be paired with a structured black blazer on a more windy day or with a bright clutch for a summer look. I can’t argue enough on how versatile the dress is, it strikes a right balance at being casual and dressy.
I chose to wear the dress casually, with minimal accessories and nude shoes. I wanted to go in for an edgy dark lip and a plain dress look without any distractions.I was rather skeptical about going in with this dark lip, so I made sure to keep the dress simple and not go overboard.I paired the dress with a silver ear cuff, a handcuff, a pair of retro mirrored sunglasses and let the dress do the talking. If I decide to style this dress differently, which I will for sure (I’am lovin the dress) you will surely see it on my Instagram feed. If you’re not already following me there, go now and do it! 🙂 I really hope you liked this look, do share your thoughts on pairing this dress in the comment section. See you soon, have a great week!
P.S: In case you want to buy the same dress, I’ve left a link above but the discounted price online is $15.
