Do you section your wardrobe based on the changing seasons ?Or if you have a small wardrobe like me, put away all the heavy knits in a suitcase till it’s cold again? I’am hoping some of you do this, because decluttering my wardrobe is somehow therapeutic and directly proportional to decluttering of my mind! So this past week while I was putting away all my spring/summer wear and replacing them with my neatly stacked cozy knits, I came across a black slip dress. Which I purchased a couple of months ago, hoping summer would last a little longer and I would get a chance to wear it out. Obviously I did not and was kind of bummed, that I now had to wait until next spring to slip into it. I remember falling in love with the dress when I saw it in the store, a simple minimal black dress- a versatile companion. So, I decided to make use of it before I could put it away and wasn’t going to let winter stop me.
Winter dressing brings about some serious conundrums, as much as you want to stay stylish- you still want to beat the chill and stay warm. Combining your spring pieces with winter essentials can bring out a workable and versatile wardrobe, which is highly functional. While I was busy looking at options to layer this slip dress so that I wouldn’t freeze outside, Romwe sent me a chunky knit grey sweater dress. The moment I saw the sweater dress, I knew the two would fall together really well. If you’re a regular here, you’d know that I’am a very practical dresser, I’d never put out anything that I would be uncomfortable in myself. This outfit was super comfy and I loved how it turned out. I hope you liked this look as much as I did, do let me know your ideas on styling a slip dress for winters.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day ahead.
