This weekend while I randomly browsed through shopping sites, I noticed that most of the brands were proudly displaying their fall collection! There’s still a few weeks of summer left but let’s be real; move over summer, fall’s right behind you, ready to take over! Like what is even happening? I know I rant about time flying by too fast and that the new year had just begun, but like seriously it had JUST begun! Anyway, I’m not complaining about fall though. Considering the soaring humidity levels in Atlanta this past month, I wouldn’t mind trading in for cooler breezy evenings! I’m ready & excited for fall, totally looking forward to experimenting with colors and trends for this season. Although I’m not so much of a ‘follow the trend’ kinda person because trends come and go. Sometimes you like them, sometimes you don’t!
Talking about colors for fall, an olive/khaki bomber jacket is a great buy. The never ending quest to master the effortlessly cool look has been something we’ve all been on, for a long time now. Enter the bomber jacket, it literally makes the task ten times easier! When Make me chic sent me this bomber jacket, I knew I was going to wear it often for the versatility it offered. It’s a great light weight option for fall or even while you’re traveling it gives the necessary extra edge over a basic staple outfit. While it would go really well over a pair of denims, I decided to experiment a little. The mustard colored pleated skirt that I wore as a dress and the khaki jacket blended really well to combine into a perfectly balanced look. Both colors are great for fall and I loved how the skirt worn as a dress gave the flow-y unstructured look (which I LOVE) while the jacket balanced it out. Bomber jackets are hugely in trend for their versatility and also the cool factor. So, whether you wanna go for a plain, embroidered or stolen from the boys section version of a bomber jacket, be assured they’ll be a hit. You can style them over laid-back staples like ripped jeans, throw them over a dress or even wear them over a full white outfit to break the monotony. I’ve listed a couple of my favorites from Make me chic, be sure to check them out.
I hope you enjoyed reading the post, thanks for stopping by. Have a great week ahead!
