I know time is passing by me because I watch the tiny silver handles on my watch slowly move, they show no sign of stopping. This stresses me out, it worries me and makes me feel like I’m standing in-between the things I want to do and the things I can actually do at the moment. They say the world needs dreamers, doers and fearless souls. They say don’t dwell in your past instead surge ahead, fast, else this time & moment will be lost forever. So, don’t lose the next one thinking about the last lost moment that’s dead. They say THIS is your time, so go ahead dance away & live your dreams. But do we really have to do everything right now? What if I’m not motivated enough? What if I want to take a break? What if my dreams aren’t clear to me yet? What if I need more time to think about life? Or what if I’m just not ready? Sure, time is slipping away, so is that why I need to walk around with burdened shoulders to make the most out of each moment? I surely want to, but what if my time is not NOW? Sometimes the motivational quotes on Tumblr and Pinterest are not enough to influence our brain to turn our ideas into actions. Sometimes the problem is not the lack of motivation but the idea of an ideal life we created for ourselves. The truth really is, we are not going to act unless we want to and that will happen when the time is right. Sometimes we can try everything under the sun and put in all the hard work but if it’s not the time, then it’s not the time. We need to stop being so hard and just tell ourselves that we are still human beings and not machines. We make bucket lists, we write down the things to achieve and places to see before we turn 30, we desperately lookout for love because the list says we should’ve found it by now, we make one list after the other. No, it’s not wrong to make a list but don’t become miserable in the process of achieving everything on it. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t check off all the things on your list. May be we’re yet to walk several paths, before we become the person in order to contain our desires and dreams. May be it’s not the time to fall in love because you’re yet to figure yourself out by being alone. Sometimes we have to just let it be, we have to take small pauses and walk back a little, if need be. Because as someone told me, one day all these tiny dots will join together perfectly and this moment will all make sense. Time hasn’t ever stopped and it will never stop in the future too but it surely works it’s magic in mysterious ways, just believe in that.
Since time immemorial, nature has influenced art, be it poetry, dance, music or fashion. Nothing quite stuns me the way the clouds peer down before striking a thunder and come down as raindrops, looking like diamonds falling from the sky. The way the mountain tops peek through the morning fog and stand tall under the fierce sun. The way big old trees sustain themselves for years with their roots stronger than ever, teaching us many lessons of patience, strength, adaptation, self healing and freedom. How the wild flowers grow along the restricted path and sway when the wind blows creating for a beautiful view. Taking inspiration from nature for life and art will never turn old because nature is timeless as we all experience it. Just like this handcrafted wooden timepiece from JORD Watches, is one of those pieces you treasure for it’s unique wood and admirable craftsmanship. JORD watches are made from all natural wood, a fresh approach to age old accessory. These watches are designed to take people back to nature and away from today’s metal and rubber. I was sent the purple heart & mother of pearl watch from the Cora series of their collection. It’s made out of hand finished purple heart wood and pretreated by tung oils. The shapely glass dial with Swarovski crystals along its way makes it a classic piece to own. This beautiful automatic watch came wonderfully packaged in a sturdy wooden box, extra points just for that! The watch is extremely lightweight and has a smooth finishing on the top and bottom. I just can’t stop falling in love with this watch for it’s unique wooden creation, style quotient and versatility. I’m sure you guys will enjoy the watch as much I did, so JORD is giving away an artistic wooden watch to one lucky reader, all you have to do is enter the details here and your done!
