I’ve been wanting to work on this post since a couple of days and kept procrastinating, you know that should be a synonym to my name! I procrastinate more than the number of times I actually breathe to survive, I’m not kidding. Also, I am this way mostly when I am anxious planning for an important event or traveling somewhere. This time around I am traveling to India, yay! With less than two weeks for my flying day, I’ve been busy making lists and pinning it up on my fridge door (because that’s where I spend most of my time) in the hope to get some work done before I leave. This time my trip is going to be all the more exciting because my baby sister is getting married! So double the excitement and planning required for this trip! I can’t wait to join my family in this celebration and enjoy the tropical weather with some homemade piping hot idli sambar on my plate.
The weather in Atlanta has been crazy and so unpredictable that this time around, I was forced to bring out my heaviest/thickest leather jacket on one weekend and put it right back in the next weekend! That is what I love the most about this city, winter barely gets to us. But last week it snowed a little and it was freezing with temperatures that dropped to the lowest in a long time. Although I wanted to curl up in my blanket with a hot coffee and enjoy some netflix, we decided to head out to the mall. This plan lead me into styling an outfit with layers that kept me warm and also comfortably stylish.
I decided to go ahead and pair my warm fuzzy sweater with a blanket scarf and a leather jacket. This fuzzy sweater was perfect as the first layer and thanks to the freezing weather that it debuted this year, if not it’d be lying in my closet waiting for its turn to be picked. Another item that made its grand debut is my black leather jacket. I purchased this a year ago in the hope that I’d wear it soon, but unfortunately Atlanta never got that cold. This freezing weekend was an answer to my prayers and I finally got the chance to style the jacket. Also, the plaid blanket scarf came in handy as the second layer and I loved the clash of patterns/colors between the scarf and the sweater. Oh and if I didn’t already mention this, how cute are those suede shoes with a bow? Another black Friday steal, looks like there are one too many debutantes in this post, which is your favorite?
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and loved the outfit as much as I did. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day ahead!
