When the sun’s shining all bright, be sure it’ll make everything right.. OK not such a poet, are we?! But hey, welcome back to my blog and after what I would like to call a ‘break from being homesick, an aftermath of a trip back home’. So, I gained a few pounds, not complaining at all, braved the heat that killed every single pore on my skin and I’ve officially trashed all the sunscreens u make no sense to me in India. So I’ve come back with a beautiful tan take that America, I’m ahead of you, I may not be beach ready bodywise, but hey I’ve got all the tan lines in place! With all the loafing around and my street shopping escapades with cousins, aunts , mums (one in law) and friends in the scorching sun, the outcome was pretty clear! The crazy traffic, the long hours of wait in the cab, the unplanned stops at the chaat and ice cream stalls, the exchange of long tales with my curious aunts and cousins that have a keen ear to ‘American gossip’ sigh, I miss talking! The non stop yapping I’ve done should be going down as a record for the most I’ve ever spoken! Time flew by so quickly that I still had plenty of unchecked items on my to do list. Despite that, I had a great time back home. I felt so homesick once I returned, the first week was difficult because now I not only had to cook but also eat it myself, which was a bigger challenge! The food I cook is not to send my taste buds on a magical trip to la la land, but just to kill my ever so hungry belly’s craving for my mum’s,mum in law’s and aunts cooking sobs silently! Nevertheless, we have take outs for people like me who’s hangry behavioral pattern can cause serious injuries to near ones. So until my next trip to India sigh.. let me cut myself some slack! 😛

So I had the opportunity to work with Femella, they are an online women’s clothing brand from India. What I love about their collection is that it’s a great blend of street style inspired and trends making heads turn at fashion week.Very few pieces really make me feel like they were made just for me.This little shift dress from Femella in pastel blue color with it’s self flower print, that subtly conveys the arrival of spring, is a perfect pick for the sunny days to come. The onset of spring , this dress is a great way to welcome it with open arms, the pastel shade gives way to so many additions that can be made to it.It’s subtle pale blue color against my tanned skin made it stand out in the most natural way. The non conforming silhouette not hugging a single part of my body, just letting me be me is what stood out the most for me. I mostly try and pick pieces that truly belong to me and when worn I don’t feel an inch of discomfort. The moment I laid my eyes on this dress, it felt like it exuded my sense of style one hundred percent. I often fall for pieces that I can truly transform into my own with the styling. This dress can be what you want it to be. I tried styling it in so many ways and each look had an unique appeal.I decided to go with a blue+orange+some bling look and to just neutralize the whole bling thing, I put on my favorite white kicks they are #thebestfindever. Also, can we take a moment to admire the cutely positioned 2 front pockets, that was a total win for me. So if you are one of me who believes in comfort fashion with a bit of trend thrown in, be sure to check Femella, you wont be disappointed.

I hope you enjoyed the post, thanks for reading.

P.S. I never thought I’d ever wear those earrings unless I wanted to be Cleopatra for Halloween! #theylookedsmalleronline #dontblameme #halloween2016sorted

I totally understand your phase… which is called” after effects of India”. I almost have same feeling but as years pass by I am finding it bit easier to tackle. This dress looks so great you and the color. Love love this dress, Swati!! It’s very cute. You look super cool in this outfit. I loved your purse and those white sneakers. They go perfectly with dress. And not to mention those gorgeous earrings. I’m sure they are not any “Halloween” material. You totally rocked them. 🙂
Have a great weekend babe! 🙂

I love this outfit Swati! You look adorable! I love the color combination against your complexion, I wish I could get your gorgeous tan from the sun. My Mom’s skin tone is identical to yours, but unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with that gene. 🙁 Do you put any cream on your skin to make it glow like that? If you do, I would love to know what you use. You are stunning my beautiful friend! XOXO!

Love this light and easy outfit Swati. I like how you added the color pop of red to it. Pockets in skirts and dresses are my weak spot during shopping 😀
